HTC has Launched on July 4th In the UK a great new tablet product – the HTC Flyer. To help promote this we have designed, manufactured and installed in over 250 UK retail outlets a media bay which securely presents 4 live products on demo. Further to that we have one of our remote media players which is showing product specific content on a 27" portrait screen. Content can be changed from our design studio at the stroke of a button and content distributed instantly either to a single screen, category of store level or indeed the entire 250 stores. Digital Media is certainly here now, and at a cost effective level !

WOW - what a show !! Many many thanks to all the great new and old friends alike who came and saw us at the In Store show this year ! We have loads of great compliments about our super cool new exhibition stand which helped celebrate the launch of our new look 2011 Portfolio which also went down a treat. The urban feel was inspired by our uber creative team who wanted to create a new look and feel for H Squared to launch us into our 10th year in November, no time to rest on our laurels so its time to re invent ourselves and push on into the next phase…. Exciting times ahead, watch this space !

What: Samsung Demo Hub

Our second nomination was in the Telecommunications section, where our remote media download content hub we designed, manufactured and installed in over 150 Phones4U stores in December 2011 was nominated. The unit has a touch screen, which also when a product is picked up "reacts" and the content changes to explain to the customer more information about the product they have selected. Via our remote media content servers, we can instantly change content in either individual stores, or across the whole retail estate. The unit also has 2 cameras so content can be created to capture data or allow customers to send in store photos to Facebook, linking both above the line and social media into one fantastic reactive media display to help sell more products !

What: White Wash Campaign

After winning two POPAI awards in 2010 we are pleased to announce we have been nominated for two more awards in 2011. The first is for our White Wash campaign for TOP SHOP which was used in Oct-November 2010 in store. The simple combinations of elements including bricks, chairs, ladders, Tea Chests and doors, all given a contemporary look and feel in a white wash effect, was installed and used in stores both in the UK and across the rest of the World in TOPSHOP retail outlets. The response to the campaign was very successful and the accolade of being nominated for such a prestigeuos award is testament to that. For more about POPAI awards 2011 please click here

What: Playbook Launch

Working with Blackberry and Phones4u we designed, manufactured and installaed in over 140 UK retail locations . A giant 32" Playbook factice was produced which was then plugged directly into a playbook product to show what a customer was doing on the demo unit. The playbook was tethered into a Blackberry Curve phone as well to show how the product would work in sync situations.

We have already designed, manufactured and installed at over 450 Phones4u retail outlets, as well as over 75 shop in shop locations in DSGi since November 2009. So it was time to take a fresh approach and we used the Croydon store to creatively move the existing look and feel into a more 2011 onwards store !

After a tense pitching tender, H Squared are delighted to be awarded the Toshiba shop in shop systems to be rolled out across the Currys store format in 2011. A combination of our fantastic award winning creative ideas combined with practical solutions and cost effective manufacture has lead to the roll out.

Speedo asked us to create a stunning counter display unit for their Aquabeat MP3 players. This was won not only just on their stunning life like design but also that our creatives were also able to help Speedo link sell additional products on the same unit by introducing goggles and caps. The units were launched to Speedo stockists all over the UK and Ireland.
What: Red Nose Day 2011
H Squared are spreading the Nose's around this Red Nose Day!
In an effort to combine both business and giving, we are donating £10 to Red Nose Day for every Meeting or Design Brief we can win from this initiative.

What: Filshill Cider Zone

The clients brief was to create a "Cider" zone within the Filshill estate. The POS was a simple kit consisting of epos ticket strips, display board headers and kickers, as well as bus stops and lenticular posters. With the aim of creating an impact zone in store, we have highlighted the CIDER as a category which has a benefit for all brands within this area as well as Strongbow.

What: Remote Media Channel

Located in the newly refurbished Café environment, we have installed a system of screen media which allows remote management control to provide upload and new content on a regular basis from our studio. Shown on the screen are B&Q information mpegs, as well as local news, and headlines and sports. Each Café manager has access to a controlled zone on the screens where they can add content such as daily special offers. The scheme has proved to be a big success and enables customers to be entertained, as well as staff to communicate information and offers.

The new interactive demo hub launched into the top 150 Phones4U stores, features include remote media updates, touch screen content, as well as reactive content so when a product is picked up the content on screen changes.
Shown here dressed for the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Tablet, the unit is also being used to launch the Blackberry Torch product in Phones4U Shop in Shop areas in Currys Superstores.

H Squared Ltd have designed, manufactured, collated and delivered to stores across the UK and IRELAND this stunning pack of 3D Christmas point of sale elements. The Overall target budget for 3000 store packs was very tight but the end effect has been very well received in stores..

The café environment in store was dull and lifeless. We designed and installed a FRESH look and feel to the entire café area. New window graphics add massive impact, bright corporate colours blend well with the new café environment. We have also included new areas, including a web browsing sections so customers can grab a coffee and view the B&Q web site, and order large products for home delivery. Both staff and customers have been enjoying the new format.

To launch the new breed of Tablets in the retail arena H Squared have designed, developed and installed over 450 tablet displays with an intensive roll out over a 10 day period ready for an inshore launch on Nov 1st. With bespoke claw fixings ensuring security without the need for alarms yet allowing "live" powered tablets on display.

A set of funky sets and props have been designed and produced for Topshop both in the UK and worldwide.
Props and elements including wardrobes, pallets, bricks, tea chests and pallets amongst a range of unique set props.
Photos shown feature the Topshop at Highcross shopping centre in Leicester and the concept has rolled across all 220 UK stores as well as internationally including Russia, USA and Asia.

Hsquared have been nominated for an industry award for their design and production of the new store refresh programme for Phones4u , it was announced at the 2010 In Store show at Earls Court today.
Designed by the creative team at H Squared in 2009 and then manufactured and rolled out to all 450 stores in the UK and lately into Currys stores as a shop in shop concept.
Winners of the prestigious POPAI Awards 2010 will be announced at the Awards Night on Thursday 21st October 2010 and will be the culmination of many months of work by designers, producers, retailers and brands. The evening will be hosted by top comedian, Adam Bloom.

Brand: WAVE phone launch

To launch the new Samsung Wave in all 450 Phones4u stores we designed , produced and installed the display which integrated live handset demos showing the key difference between traditional handset screens and the new Samsung Amoled screen.
The unit allowed customers to see for themselves the key improved Samsung screens which proved to be a huge success.
By physically demonstrating the new screen we encouraged the customers to interact with the product live in store

Brand: Vivaz Phone launch

To promote the latest smart phone from Sony Erickson the design team at h squared came up with a great funky display to launch the product.
Designed , produced and installed into over 350 stores in the UK in under 4 weeks from design to reality shows the speed at which we can turn projects around in.
Displaying the full range of product for the new Vivaz range in store, all products on recoilers and the unit was constructed of metal, acrylic, print and vac formings.

On a monthly basis we have been producing editing and distributing content to all 100 screens across the Phones4u network.
To engage customers with impact and interest in the latest offers in store we create punchy content which ties the above the line messages into the in store mantra.
Content is changed regularly so that latest offers, products and in store news can be scheduled.

H Squared Ltd won the pitch to design and build the new instore retail display fixtures for Phones4U in a 10 month programme of re-inventing the look and feel of the in store offering to customers.
With a new stylish fixturisation as well as implementing features including impulse buy areas and helping to hero new products the interiors of Phones4U are changing!

Brand: Christmas Window Campaign

To create an interesting window campaign for the top 30 Superdrug stores in the UK, we designed and developed a 3D window system, with a front graphic with windows cut into it, with white opal acrylic boxes on suckers to the window behind.
This allowed the stores to promote 3 for 2 offer of products in the window with MAXIMUM impact. A system that with a change of graphic will be used for Valentines and other promotions throughout the year giving a great return on investment.

To launch Currys store at Lakeside, the biggest electrical store in the UK in December 2009 Samsung commissioned H Squared to design, produce and install a flagship mobile phone display.
With interactive phones displays, with LED light change computer system as well as two 40” touch screen systems with remote media content management we have delivered a unique in store feature.

Brand: Genio Phone launch

To launch SamsungÂ’s latest mobile phone - Genio - Designed, developed, manufactured and delivered direct to store by H Squared to all Phones4U Stores across the whole of the UK. The photo shows the free standing unit at a hotpsot in the the Phones4u store in the Highcross Shopping centre in Leicester.
Designed for maximum impact in store the unit incorporates specially designed dummy packaging allowing customers to simply "grab and go" - they pick up the box and go straight to an express till in store to ensure a swift and easy purchase.

For maximum street impact we designed and installed these great windows for Samsung Mobile – to support the latest above the line campaigns for the JET handset. Installed into Fonehouse windows in the UK by our teams.
By using contravision we allow maximum impact from the exterior of the retail units, but for customers and staff inside the graphic is only on the outside, and light is allowed through to ensure good interior ambience and light.

Phones4U wanted to refresh their head offices, to inject some of their great above-the-line personality in-house to keep staff on brand at all times. In collaboration with Samsung we have turned a once-dull working environment into a fun and energised space, with chill out zones, meeting areas, gadget displays, media screens, interactive screens and lightboxes for high impact.
The makeover was a non-stop 36 hour transformation over a weekend. The working staff left on a Friday night and returned to see the new office on the Monday morning to their delight!
